Breckenridge weekend!

I never got to share a little about the weekend in Breckenridge. First of all, it was great! And it was awesome to see my family, all of them except my dad. My dad's name is Bryce, my mom is Theresa, there is Jamie (she is in the bridesmaids dress), Daniel, and Hannah. Here's a photo of my family from the wedding.
So, we had a great time. We didn't get up there til about 10:30pm because Michael didn't get off work until 8pm. then we were in rain the entire way. I finally had to pull over and have Michael finish driving up there. It was really hard to see the road! The condo was cute and in a great location! We could walk anywhere, right into the downtown area. Of course, one thing that seemed to take a beating over the weekend was sleep. My brother and sister are mountain kids, so they don't sleep in at all! They are so cute though!

On Saturday, we weren't sure what exactly to do, but Michael had his little heart set on going to the crankworx bike competition in winter park. If you know the look of a kid's face on Christmas morning, that is what Mike looks like. There were a lot of different event, like downhill racing and dual slalom (repeating them makes me sound cool but I only half know how they work ;-) but slopestyle was what Mike wanted to watch. This is where the guys careen down a hill, jump over some crazy stuff, and do bmx type tricks. here are some photos we got.

We also got some videos, here is what it is really about!

Unfortunately, we didn't get any other photos of the weekend, or at Heather's wedding on Sunday, but it was awesome. My mom, Mike, and I had a Margarhita at a cute little restaurant/bar on Sunday afternoon and that morning we swam with the kids and went to the hot tub, then laid around after lunch. Heather's wedding was beautiful. It is always so great to see to Godly people joining in marriage. Heather's husband's dad did the ceremony and it was one of the best I've seen, what he spoke on was slightly different than most weddings. He spoke of the responsibilities of marriage and the commitment of it, but to a higher degree. We didn't get to leave Eagle, CO until 8:30pm and Michael was a saint to drive the car. We hit paving traffic on I-25. Let's just say late night + low sleep + three and half hours in a small, uncomfortable car = people getting cranky. It was so good to get home! Moral of that story...don't take I-25 north of denver after 8pm!
