Carson - 7 Months

Little Bear, I don't have words to describe what you mean to Daddy and me.  We both cannot imagine life without you.  But you do make things difficult.  You are sleeping much better at night but have decided that 5:30am is a great time to wake up, but you actually really aren't ready to wake up yet.  You are such a silly bear. :-)  You are getting harder to photograph because you won't stop moving, mommy may need to buy an action camera.

Carson Michael, you have the BIGGEST smile ever.  And anyone who sees it says it makes their day.  Your awesome cheeks really help that grin.  At 7 months old you weigh 18 lbs, 3 oz and are 26 inches long.

You started eating solids, but then decided you didn't like purees.  Now you just want whatever is on Mommy's plate, so she has just been giving you the safe bites from dinner.

You usually take 3 naps a day, one in the morning, one in the middle of the day and then a short one in the late afternoon.  We think you are trying to drop that late short one though because you have been refusing it the last couple days.

You sit great all on your own now, although you still throw your body back occasionally.  You just can't seem to figure out that you fall when you do that.

You also finally rolled over from back to tummy!  But you still don't like to do it often and prefer to sit or stand over lying down.  You have really started to not lying down on your back.

You are very into people's faces and expressions right now.  If you are unsure about something, as long as I look at you and give you a big smile, you are okay about it...noises, people, etc.

Whenever you see momma now or when you get really excited, you breathe in really quick and squeal at the same time, it is the funniest sound but you look so happy while you do it!

You still love your baths.  You are such a water baby.

You are becoming affectionate!  I wondered when we would get to this point and now that we are here...I LOVE it.  You give me hugs and kisses and it is SO adorable.

Your eczema is doing so much better!  Mommy isn't sure if it was her diet or if you are just clearing up, but she is going to keep reintroducing foods back in slowly to see if you have any reactions.

You are so wiggly, seriously.  You do.not.sit.still.  When we are holding you we have to constantly be moving you back and forth, letting you jump up and down on our legs, etc.  Holy Cow, it's exhausting.

You like watching all the other little kiddos run around when mommy has friends come over for coffee, but you aren't real sure how you feel about them if they try to play with you.

You love your nanny, which is such a relief for mommy.  You definitely recognize Miss Heather's voice when she gets here and love to go to her.

You have started playing more with toys again, you love your stacking cups.  You like to take them apart and hit them on things.  when we make a tower out of them for you to knock down, you love it!

For looking like such a chunk, you are only average for your weight.  You are right in the 50th percentile.  I love the way your little belly hangs over your pants though.

You definitely are starting to understand some words!  It is so cool to watch you learning.  You definitely know eat, nurse, and bath.

You have started to through little temper tantrums when you don't get what you want.  They are funny right now, but I know they won't be when you get bigger.

You are obsessed with Mommy's cell phone, if it is within reach at all, you try to grab it.

You clap your hands together all the time now, it is really cute.  I wish I could say you knew why you were doing it and did it at the right times, but you just kind of do it randomly.  It is cute to watch you though.

Your colitis has gotten so much better, but we are also more restricted than previously.  But if that is what it takes, then we will keep on this way.

Your hair is finally growing back!  Yeah!  Some days it is definitely blonde and other days it looks like it has a red tint.  Maybe you are going to be strawberry blonde?

Your two little teeth are so cute.  The Dr. said the upper two are "bulging" so you will probably get those soon.  But it still could be a couple months.

I'm not sure how much you should be eating, but you eat every 4 hrs while mommy is working and you take between 4-5oz.  You don't seem to be suffering for lack of food though, even with your disinterest in spoon feeds.

You are such a joy.  You have your fussy periods, but overall you are such a happy boy.

You sit in your high chair and play quite a bit now, which is nice.  You also love your jumparoo.  You have really figured out how to go to town in there!

Mommy has been letting you watch some kids shows on netflix sometimes, just so she can have a breather (which I said I would never do :-) but you still really aren't interested.  You will watch for about 5 minutes, then play with toys while watching for maybe another 10 and then you are done. :-)

We sure love you little bear!  What is going to be your next big achievement?
