Whew! So I am finally getting to the post about our big event. It was Michael's 30th Birthday!!! His birthday was officially Monday, but we went back to Kansas for the weekend to celebrate. His gift from his parents was to go to a K-state football game on Saturday. We left on Friday morning. Friday night after we had arrived in Newton, we had a special dinner at Michael's parent's house with Mike's sister and brother-in-law. Funny coincidence, but Mike and Adam (the brother-in-law) both share the same birthday! Easy to remember for everyone in the family! So we had a combined celebration. After dinner we went to Michael's grandparent's house for cake.
Sutton, our little two year old nephew (Gina and Adam's son) was very excited about cake!
The cake says 2930, but that is for 29 and 30 because Adam was turning 29 and Mike was turning 30.
Saturday we headed up to Michael's alma mater, K-State, in Manhattan, KS. We tailgated for the game and Mike had fun playing catch with some kiddos who came along with some of Bruce and Nancy's (Mike's parents) tailgating friends.
Of course we had to have more cake! This cake is only made at birthdays and it is delicious! It is called Bonnie Butter Cake.
Kick-off was at 7pm and it was a great game. K-State hasn't lost a game and they kept that record that night!
Happy 30th Birthday Baby! I love you so much! Here is to the next 30 years!
