So far, this is my favorite age. I know I am going to start saying this every month, but you have gotten so silly and fun. You LOVE interacting, with anyone who will talk to you. Although you do prefer your mama. Mama always gets a smile.
You are still my little bear, or my hungry bear, or angry bear. You are just momma's bear. And she loves ya buddy!
Your hair appears to be becoming more blonde, but those eyes, still so big, blue and expressive!
You started food at the end of the month, that was your big milestone. Now you eat about 1/2 TBS every morning and night. So far we have had acorn squash and sweet potatoes. You were okay with the acorn squash, but you LOVE sweet potato, unfortunately, we think it may be giving you a small allergic reaction so we have stopped the sweet potato for now. Green beans are next I think. :-)
More and more you are trying to sit on your own. And you are doing so for longer periods of time. You are pretty good at not falling all over the place, but you throw yourself back, which is not a good idea because then you hit your head! But you haven't stopped doing it yet.
Nap training at the end of the month went so well! You are getting to be a great napper now, almost a little too good. We may need to back off the naps so you sleep more at night. You regularly take three naps a day now, all between 45 min and 1.5 hrs. Your 1.5 hr nap is usually right away in the morning or in the early afternoon. The 45 minute nap is the later afternoon nap.
I'm not sure how much you are eating, somewhere between 4-5oz per feeding because that is what I am pumping. We are still corn, gluten, dairy, soy, beef, eggs, all nuts, and coconut free. Whew, mommy is a little tired of it, but she can't deny how good she feels overall, and how well her body is responding to the stress of low sleep and life. She really wishes all your issues would just clear up though! She tried eggs back this month and you got a really red face and were so fussy! So we think you are sensitive to those. With all the other new things going on (naps and solids) she hasn't tried to put anything else back into her diet.
You still haven't rolled over yet. You have rolled from tummy to back, but not from back to tummy. Your fat arm gets in the way. :-)
You cut two teeth!! And it was a little tough on you. It took over a week for both of them to come in. The one on your right side came through first and once it broke skin, we could see the other side trying to come through. Poor guy, too bad they couldn't just both come in at the same time, you didn't get a break.

You still never.stop.moving. You are just constantly kicking and moving, as evidenced by this next group of pictures.
You love your activity center now, and you especially love to poop in there. I don't know if it is because you are standing up and playing, but if you seem like you need to go, I just put you in there and you are fine.
You are still huge. You haven't had your 6 Month appointment yet but you are so heavy. Momma had to take you in for your eczema and you were 17 lbs 13 oz. You have so many rolls!
You are much better with strangers and your nanny now. Even though you prefer mom, other people can play with you and you are okay with it. If you are fussy, I just need to leave the room and you fuss for a little, but then you are fine.
You still love the water, although you don't like being in your bath as long. Momma and daddy bought you a small outdoor pool for this summer so hopefully you do still like the water.
Last time Grandma Kennedy was here, she bought you a swing for outside. You like it a lot, although you won't sit in there for hours or anything.
Mommy has watched your daddy come alive with you this past month. Now that you are getting more interactive, he loves getting on the floor with you and talking and playing. It melts mommy's heart.
Momma loves coming home from work to your sweet face. You get so excited when I walk through the door. You start squealing and flinging your arms all over the place.
You wake up too early, but we just don't know how to stop that. You can't seem to stay up much past 7pm, but you want to wake up anywhere between 5:30-6:30am. I don't know if we should keep trying to push your bedtime later or not. Let's just admit it, you are not the best sleeper, hopefully that will keep getting better.
You love to play with some toys now. Whenever we put you in your highchair, you wait for us to put toys on your chair so you can play. It is so cute. You have started the drop game yet though. If something falls off your tray, you just play with something else.
We can't wait to take you camping, but were hoping your sleeping would get a little bit more under control first. The every two hours at night is tough and without a rocking chair, momma is not sure how we would get you back to sleep.
Carson, you are a stubborn, goofy, precious, active, and loving little boy and we love you more than anything! Happy 1/2 birthday buddy.
