Carrying On

Well, life sure is funny.  We are still amazed at the miracle in the Dr. office.  Even more so because the blood has come back.  We started seeing it again the next afternoon.  Why?  We have no idea, I have not done anything differently or eaten anything incredibly new.  We really think God took it away that day to keep us from making any rash decisions because of pressure from the doctor.  We knew the doctor wanted us to switch to expensive formula and possible perform a lot of tests on our little boy.  But because Carson was all clear, the doc couldn't see a reason to do any of it.  We are contemplating restricting my diet a little more, because he has such bad days and good days, just to see if it makes a difference but we haven't done that yet.  Cutting anything else out would make me really start feeling deprived.  I actually don't feel that way now.

This past weekend was a quiet one.  Utah has been having some great spring weather so we tried to enjoy that as much as possible.  Friday night we had a good rainstorm which was a snowstorm in the mountains, so Michael and I went skiing Saturday morning.  Carson did great until about 11am, when he just melted down.  He didn't want to eat and he didn't want to be walked around the lodge anymore, so we had to leave.  They had about 8 inches of new snow so even though we didn't get to stay long, it was amazing skiing!

Saturday afternoon we just chilled...Carson was having kind of a bad afternoon, just really fussy so Michael and I hung around the house with him.

Sunday we went to church and tried to catch up on everything for the week.  Carson had a great day on Sunday.  He was so happy all day and so content!  We were able to go to the grocery store, take several walks outside, and cook dinner like a family for once without a little boy constantly crying, even when you are holding him.

Carson has really been starting to develop reaching and grabbing things, it has been so cute.  He also really likes to look at things and hear our voices, so we have been reading to him.

In his bath last night he kept reaching for the water cup and actually tried to bring it to his mouth!  It makes him look like he is taking a drink.  :-)

He is growing so fast and learning so much each day!  We do really think he is growing/healing from these tummy issues.  We also just need to make sure he gets in a good nap in the afternoon, that helps him not be so fussy as well.
